Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need health insurance?
You don’t need traditional health insurance for your primary care visits at our DPC practice. However, we strongly recommend having catastrophic health insurance, which is designed to protect you in case of unexpected, high-cost medical events like emergency room visits, hospitalizations, or surgeries. Catastrophic insurance also helps with things like expensive specialist consultations, advanced imaging, and certain medical procedures that fall outside of primary care.
In addition, having insurance can be useful for things like covering prior authorizations for high-cost labs or treatments that may require approval. By having both a DPC model for your day-to-day care and catastrophic insurance for emergencies, you can maximize both convenience and financial protection.
Do you take health savings account?
This is something that you will need to check with your HSA. We might be able to arrange this through quarterly payment cycles. Please reach out to discuss.
Can you provide referrals to specialists?
Absolutely! We can provide referrals to specialists when needed. With fewer patients and more time available per visit, we are able to take a more personalized approach to your care. This allows us to thoroughly review your situation before making the referral and to follow up with specialists on your behalf to ensure continuity of care. It’s all about giving you more time and attention, even when we’re not meeting face-to-face.
What is Direct Primary Care?
DPC (Direct Primary Care) offers high-quality, personalized healthcare for a flat monthly fee. No insurance, no middlemen—just direct access to a doctor who cares about your health.
Doctors leave behind the broken system to provide affordable, patient-centered care. With a DPC membership, you get more time, more attention, and a healthcare experience that works for you. The main benefit? A doctor who truly listens.
